Repmgr is an open-source tool suite for managing replication<br \/>\nand failover in a cluster of PostgreSQL servers. A tool, which I personaly like a lot.<\/p>\n<p>On of the main big features is of course the support for PostgreSQL 13.<\/p>\n<p>However, the one I was interested in, is the repmgr cluster crosscheck command. The crosscheck command simply cross checks<br \/>\nthe connections between each combination of nodes.<\/p>\n<p>This command worked beforehand (version 5.1.0) very well, however, the output was kind of mal formatted, if the id&#8217;s are longer, like in the following output.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: plain; title: ; notranslate\" title=\"\">\n$ repmgr -f ${PGNAME}\/etc\/repmgr.conf cluster crosscheck\nINFO: connecting to database\nName | Id | 550001 | 550002\n--------+----+----+----\nhost001 | 550001 |  * |  *\nhost002 | 550002 |  * |  *\n<\/pre>\n<p>So I opened an request in the repmgr forum (<a href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/g\/repmgr\">https:\/\/groups.google.com\/g\/repmgr<\/a>) and asked if they could please fix that issue, because I&#8217;m using long id numbers<br \/>\na lot.<\/p>\n<p>And here we go. They did it. Take a look at the repmgr 5.2.0 release notes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/repmgr.org\/docs\/current\/release-5.2.0.html\">https:\/\/repmgr.org\/docs\/current\/release-5.2.0.html<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>repmgr cluster crosscheck \/ repmgr cluster matrix: improve text mode output format, in particular so that node identifiers of arbitrary length are displayed correctly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And now the output looks very good.
